Worldwide there are three signicant business excellence awards: the Deming Prize of Japan, the Baldrige Award of the USA and the European EFQM Excellence Award. All three awards assess the degree to which an organization systematically strives to understand and then successfully meet the expectations of all of its key stakeholder groups (customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, society, etc.) over a sustained period of years.
