Our contribution to a clean Environment!

Our principle is to meet or exceed all environmentally related laws and regulations by practicing an environmentally-friendly business and production concept. Here too, the application of the Worthington Philosophy and the corporate Code of Conduct are additional guideposts in helping us to meet our commitments in the area of environmental protection.
In 2005 Worthington Cylinders GmbH received the ISO14000 certification.

We have established an optimum combination of avoiding and re-utilisation in our waste disposal process as well as an economic use of resources. This leads to an increased quality of our environment- and work-place conditions, and cost reduction.

Some of the central points in our plant are:

• Own electricity generation through hydraulic power

• Energy recovery from our gas heated furnaces

• Heating by means of exhaust gases and heat transfer from own equipment

• Closed circuit cooling water

• Polluted water is treated in own, approved sewage plant of latest technological standards

• Air cleaning through regularly serviced filter system for a clean air

• The use of biologically disposable solvents and detergents

• Sorting of disposables according to waste disposal rules

• Development of CNG – Cylinders for avoiding of dangerous exhaust products in the automobile industry
